		<description>I thought it was gross to be honest. Never mind dignity and safety. The fact is this is laziness on the part of all involved. CNA&#039;s can do better. They can ask for resources and equipments and show the nurses what the problems are. I am quite sure had the DON seen this happen she would have looked for and paid for an alternative.</description>

		<description>THAT  is disgusting! Do they really hang the resident over a trash bin?? How unsafe is this. Those slings can&#039;t stay up forever. It&#039;s not just dignity it&#039;s safety too. 

The CNA as a sitter happens all the time. You&#039;re right that we are not prepared for these times and we should have a box of activity supplies kept on the unit at all times because, these sitting times happen on evernings, weekends, overnights. 
I think mostly this is for unsafe residents who are suicidal or really behavioral- and no activity can  distract them. Then what? The aide gets beat up and we&#039;re expected to sit there and take it.</description>
