		<description>Maybe for a person that has no idea about anatomy and physiology and basic CPR skills its better to just pound on chest or leave the victim alone altogether and dial 911. 
However if CPR to be performed the airways have to be checked/cleared regardless, and if the victim is not breathing the pounding will not make a difference after 5 minutes, because the brain cells will start dying...........</description>

		<description>The changes are to Bystander responce to adults who experience an out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest. Our guidlines for hospital have not changed so I would if you work in LTC you would also cont. the 30/2. The AHA also if a bystander "was previously trained and feels conident in giving the rescue breaths it's ok to give them. If you to the AHA website you can read the article
