Of the 11 years in the field, I have never seen this as an issue! It has been more of an issue in my experience with aides coming in with wrinkled clothes, no makeup, and looking unprofessional. Esp for aides who shower, bath and otherwise provide care to patients and residents...the makeup runs down their cheeks and looks anything but professional. To keep yourself looking professional, please apply makeup. You are the first impression to many and most of us are not blessed enough to not wear makeup.
