I always go back and clean up my units. Always. Everytine I'm in the rooms I pick up after myself..and at the end of my shift I make one last set of rounds to make sure things are in order. We have some residents who wander a lot and get into things in others' rooms, so that's a problem sometimes. Usually redirecting them helps but some of them really think another room is their *room*.

As always, Kim posts another great one.

Always relevant too- I see far too many MESSY untidy rooms in nursing homes! Sometimes it is the resident who keeps things this way but not always. We aides should take pride in our work and part of this included the room factor.
