  • US Senate Candidate Goes to Work As A CNA

Posted by Kim on July 2nd, 2007 / Print This Post

An Idaho campaigner goes to work as a CNA:

U.S. Senate Candidate Larry LaRocco continues to travel around the state as a part of his “Working for Senate” Campaign and the campaign involves just that.

LaRocco picks a profession and works side by side with those in the field for a day.

Today, he job shadowed a Certified Nursing Assistant in Pocatello.

LaRocco’s goal is see what people in Idaho do for a living, find out what it takes for them to make ends meet and to hear what they have to say about various issues facing our country.

Future health care costs was the focus of today’s visit.

Larry LaRocco, Candidate for U.S. Senate: “Somebody has to pay the bill and we’re going to have a train wreck in the country down the road because of the aging population and it’s very important to come to a facility like this in Pocatello, Idaho and understand on the ground what’s going on – on a day to day basis.”

Other stops on LaRocco’s agenda include Twin Falls County, to work at a cheese factory, and the Shoshone County Mines.
